Hi Kelly. Thanks for commenting! Yes, the adults of the home have limits too although they’re not all quantified. It helps my 3 year-old to have a specific number so that she can actually take control, count, and make choices for herself. We might get to the point where I say I only want to own 8 skirts..it’s possible, I love this system. For now I just make sure everything I own is something I adore, find useful, and isn’t just taking up space.

Hi, I just found your blog via Michelle O-G’s facebook link. I’m curious whether you have a number of things that you’re allowed, and if so, what kinds of things you chose. What kinds of things are exempt (dishes, cutlery, etc)? I am a master purger of clutter and still feel that I have too much, and I’m both intrigued by the idea of a set number and interested in how you navigate this for the adults in your household.
